How to Embed a PDF Brochure or Menu on Your Draftly Site

Restaurants, hotels, consultants, and agencies frequently need to show PDFs inline — without requiring a download.

Method 1: Upload and Link (Simplest)

  • Upload your PDF to the Draftly media library
  • Copy the direct URL
  • Link from a button: 'Download Our Menu' or 'View Brochure'
This forces a download or opens in a new tab depending on the browser.

Method 2: Inline Embed via Google Drive

  • Upload PDF to Google Drive
  • Set sharing to 'Anyone with the link can view'
  • Click Share → Embed → Copy the iframe code
  • Add a Custom HTML block in Draftly and paste the embed
The PDF renders inline — no download required.

Method 3: Issuu Embed (Magazine Style)

For catalogues and brochures where presentation matters:

  • Upload to Issuu.com (free plan available)

  • Get the embed code

  • Paste into Draftly's Custom HTML block

Issuu renders PDFs as flipbook-style magazines.

Best Practices

  • Always also offer a download link alongside an embed — some users prefer to download
  • Compress PDFs before uploading (Adobe Acrobat online, Smallpdf.com)
  • For menus, consider linking to a real-time updated version if prices change frequently
